Anyway, they were delighted with it all. / stayed quite a long time / some / obviously very knowledgeable about flower arranging / I hope the / money / collection bowls / I'm sure they did / Anyway, if we have another good day today. We / real impression / fund raising effort / yeah, let's hope so / leave all / after the service / I know. / So, not too much gossipping, please. I know what you are like with your friends in Darlington / I don't know what you mean. / Well, we need / asap / thank you, Jennifer. / get round / watering can / before the / get too busy / Of course. We need to keep / flower / best / auction them / oh yes / I'm planning to buy a few myself, for the / I'm sure they'll love them. / do cheer the place up / fresh flowers / Oh, mom, could I give you / leaflets to hand around / are these, dear? / our new event. Didn't I tell you? Swishing. / Swishing? / feeling / real money spinner. And Sablina says / very now / quite possibly / telling me what on earth it is

Hi, dad. You're still waiting? / Ah, hiya, Tom / shouldn't be long now / he phoned half an hour ago / in Borchester / Good. / I'm just off / bite to eat / what time / before six / tunnels / dedication. On a Sunday morning too. / well, I was awake at half five / get on with it. I don't think / body clock / a dairy farmer / I know. It takes some getting used to / but / so much more efficient. / ah well I hope so / and it couldn't have come at a better time, with / Belingham / launch / this week / be busy / flat out / if you want me to / put / that'll be fine / Oh, could you, dad? That would be brilliant. / Yeah, no problem. ... Oh, uhm, did you check on lonely cow, by the way? / Yeah. I put some fresh straw down this morning / Alistair / confirm / Yeah, two o'clock. / Right. / So, we'll know by Friday, either way. / Fingers crossed. / if she's positive / all the buyers / nightmare / let's not go there. OK? Hopefully she'll be fine. And, if she's not, well, we'll deal with it. / Oh, here he is now. / This is the guy from Cornwall, right? / new tenancy / building up a dairy / started / pretty early / need / steady / in those things / Morning, Jago / Hi, Mr. Archer. / It's Tony, please. and, and you've met my son, Tom / Yeah. Hi, Tom. / good journey? / pretty good / well, won't take long / you fancy a cup / before we start? Tom was taking a break / hang about really / recommend our bacon sandwich. It's home-grown / of course. It's your own brand, isn't it? / we are very proud of it / in that case / be an idiot not to / offer / let's go / kettle on, shall we?

So, it's a sort of glorified jumble sale, is that it? / No, most certainly is not / it says here, "a new home for your unwanted clothes / only as new unworn items, definitely not talking jumble / Sorry. / It's ... well, it's more of an exchange / a swap shop / people / one or more items / however / swap / they get issued / voucher / for that number of items / well / I think that's enough / oh, yes / to the top / just the cricket team's display to do now / you / provide some sort of changing area. People would want to try things on. / It's all in hand, mom, hoping Caroline / help / oh, is she? / Huh huh. And Sablina is in charge of putting it all together. / Well, tell her not to do one of those / dreadful communal changing area / very tasteful / Good. And how will it raise money for the organ fund? / Well / entry fee of ten pounds / takes part / it's all on the leaflet, mom. / Oh, I see. / as popular as we think it will be / very well / Morning, ladies. Everything under control? / hello, Neil / we thought we just / top up the vases / still quiet / good idea. And I've got some good news / Huh huh? / We've got another 1200 pounds for the organ fund. / Really? That's wonderful. / Felpersham Church Conservation Trust / got in yesterday. / Hey, well done, Neil. / well, I thought / make an announcement / later on / a few more people around / that's a good idea / we are getting there / there's a long way to go yet / oh yes I know / but, as you say, Neil, it's a very promising start. / anyway / leave you to it. I thought you / want to know / Yeah, absolutely. / Ambridge's first swishing event? / well / show it to Susan, and Emma, of course. I'm sure she'll be interested. / I'm not sure / my Susan / swishing / what is it, exactly? / I had to ask the same question. / Some sort of jumble sale?

we were dead lucky to / farm tenancy / came / right time for us / you are both from farming backgrounds? / Yeah / grew up / my dad was / heart / oh, right / farm / then this tenancy came up / yeah. We jumped / of course / still / but there's no way for us / miss it / well done, you / and, uh, what are your plans? / we are going for / grass-based system / maybe going to go / organic later / right animal for you then / I can't tell you how excited / good grasers / exactly what we wanted / These are the best. Mom and dad have done a brilliant job / genetics / saw the cattle, I just knew we had to have them / glad they / what you are looking for / they are perfect / Well, I couldn't be more pleased to see them going / a couple just starting out. / Thank you / Pat and I were so lucky / foundation / I wish you all / very best. Enjoy them. / Thank you, Tony. That means a lot / The important thing is, they are going on to the next generation. / Yeah, OK, dad. Can I get you another coffee, Jago? / no / great / No. But you are right. Best bacon / a long while / now maybe / have / loaded up.

I don't know about you, Jennifer, but I'm about ready for a cup of tea. / can we hang on a few more minutes? I was hoping / by now / she's not the most reliable of people / don't say that. We are organizing this swishing event together. / what is she supposed to be doing? / going to need / the changing area, of course, with mirrors / Who's supplying those? / Caroline. Again, hopefully. And then / places / displaying the clothes / going to take some setting up / exactly, and I'm going to be busy organizing the helpers / going to need / quite a few / could be a real scrum if you are not careful / that's why we / need plenty of helpers / but / be really popular / well / all go after the same things. That's when it'll get rough. / No, it's going to be fine, mom. Everyone's going to / a glass of shampaign / start / that's a nice idea / and then / have half an hour to go round and decide what they want. And, after that, We'll declare that the swish is formally open / hi. it's me again / oh dear / with a clipboard this time / Well, I'm just making a list for / is there / special mention when / give this "thank you" speech / I'm not sure / mention names at all. / No? / It's usually better to say a general thank you / supported / that way nobody feels left out / Oh, I see. / one thing / he can mention / contributions from / church / put that in his speech. / OK. / mention that. ... Anything else? / I'm sorry to disagree, mom, but there are two people who definitely deserve special mention / all they've done / Jill and Clarrie. / Huh.

Well, all we can say is, the very best of luck. / Yeah. I hope it goes really well. / Thank you. / hope for / cattle of this quality / I think that will do you well. / Right. I'll be on my way. Thank you, Tony / you are very welcome. / And you, Tom. / cheers. here you go. Safe journey. / See you then. / That's it, then. No more dairy cattle. / You OK, dad? / Huh? Yeah, yeah, I'm fine, Tom. Last week it was hard, but, today it feels very different. / Yeah? / Huh huh. Actually / feel quite elated. I think it's meeting Jago and hearing about his farm / and their hopes. / He certainly has plans. / I liked him. To be honest, I saw something myself in him / all the passion and enthusiasm / breeding / over years and years / I know. / the times / remember / you and mom / sitting at the kitchen table, going through the bull catalogues. / vital part of the business. We / breeding was the key. Everything needed careful tought / we really loved / Tom. / I know / Somehow, sending them off to an anonymous buyer would have made it seem like / the end of something. But knowing / people like Jago / you know that / get on / Yeah. / gonna be building on what / mom and I / achieved / farming goes on / new generation picks up the batton / they go. And it's great. / Hm. Well, I'm glad you feel like that / now then Tom / how do you feel about nipping down to The Bull for a lunch time pint, and your dad is in the ___.
